On the day after tomorrow (Thursday 9/23) we'll packing the truck up again for another all day shoot fest. We're going to take pics and video so we can share here, and we'll also try to take notes so we can dish out details too.
Some of the guns that the four of us will have out there:
2 Mosin Nagant M91's 7.62x54mm
H&K91 by Fedaral Arms (Clone) .308cal.
AK-47 7.62x39mm
Bersa Thunder .380cal.
Beretta PX4 Storm 9mm

We are also going to be trying out some experimental ammo that we are getting test data for. We'll have the chrono out there getting the data while we have fun.

Okay there were some guns that didn't make it and some others that weren't supposed to be there that did make it!
Only one Mosin Nagant M91 made it.... the other is at cryo.
A Mauser action 45-70 was on the line.
A 7.5 Swiss was in the house.
One smallish 6.5mm JAP that was sporterized was going all banzai on the targets.
..........and a Springfield 30-06 that was sporterized was shooting the tightest groups.

Additional Pistols that were shot:

Taurus Judge
Taurus PT-145 in .45 acp

John...

You ended up taking along many that I would love to have a go with. One of the one's that really interests me is the Mauser action in .45-70. That's one heck of a cartridge and the action firing it I know is very capable. I was wondering how well it did? I have always liked the 6mm rifle calibers and the Japanese Arisaka would be another that I would like to take a turn with. Then again I have been thinking about a .308 for awhile and the Freedom Arms FA-91 is ranking up there with the rest.

Oh the heck with it. I would just have to take a turn with all the rifles. I so seldom take my rifles out for a test run I think I am getting rusty. Just set them all up and I'll have a go with all of them. That would really be a good day.

Take care,
Tye
