Had a good time shooting at the range this weekend with my buddy Mark.
Attached is a Cowboy who drew down on me at 15 feet. I put 10 .45 rounds in
If you are ever attacked by a 8 1/2 X 11 inch cowboy you want me by your
The other picture is of the Taurus .45 Millennium Pro I shot him with. John
turned me on to this gun and it is very nice. I intend it to be my carry
piece once I get licensed.
Remind me to make sure you are on my side. That's some damn good shooting. I looks like both you and your friend Mike had a good time shooting and that's what it is mostly about. Doing something fun with your close friends. Just make sure your close friends don't shoot as well as you do.
It's great to know that your Taurus shoots as well as it does. And you seem to bring out the best in it. Makes me think I just might have to try out a Taurus .45 Millennium Pro for myself. Both you and John seem to be able to use them quite well. Thanks for the range report.
Hey chuck, I wished that we could get more of our concealed carry students, such as yourself, to post their targets here. As an instructor, I love to see my students progress and capabilities at handling a firearm. Keep up the great work. Plus............ when we do get the dates settled for the first ON Target Shooting Competition squared away, you will have to make sure that you enter. With targets like that, I'd say you have a great chance at taking home a prize!
It's great to see that you have students that want to show you how they have progressed beyond your class training. Knowing that you have instilled the basics and having your students convey their progress should make you as proud as a new parent. I see in those, like Chuck and Kevin, a wish to go beyond what was taught. It's great for me, an out of stater, to see the loyalty that you have placed in them as well as conveying the necessity for continued practice. Having your students post their stories here for others to read shows well on your teaching abilities and standards. Its been great for me to be able to be a small part looking in from far away.
Your doing great and if I come up with some wacky idea you might want to try I hope you might give it a try. However I have a feeling you are already hitting all the bases.
Hey Chuck, I hope you're hitting the range! And when ya' do, don't forget to drop some pics and info on what you used to do it! Keep up the good work, and when we do announce the On Target Shooting Competition dates, I expect you to come out and earn your place in On Target history!
In time I am going to have to do something about being so damn far away. I just get left out of all the fun. Not only do I want to be a part of the range sessions, but I want to be able to shoot all the toys you end up taking out of the big safe. I can't just let Kevin, Chuck and the others have all the fun.
Heck, I wouldn't even mind doing the clean up afterwards. In time this issue will have to be resolved.
Kevin isn't all that close to us. He has a minimum one hour drive to get to the shop.... and that's on our crappy roads and crappy traffic with all of our crappy drivers to deal with..... oh and our crappy weather which changes every five minutes....... "is any of this helping you feel better Tye?"
Hopefully, you'll have the chance to join us one day in the future, we'd like to have ya' come and shoot with us. Maybe even help out with an On Target hosted shooting event? Just think, you'd most likely get to meet everyone in the On Target family at one time. I can't wait to do that myself!
