Target Weapons "On Target"

A target weapon is one of those things that just seems to interest everyone. All guns have a place in our hearts but an accurate one is one step ahead. Give us a view of those weapons you have that really show us what they can do. Target handguns and rifles seem to stand above the rest in those really small groups they make. Let all see what you call a "Target Weapon".

Take care,
Tye

Springfield XD40 V10 with ported barrel. This little sucker is very very accurate, just ask John he had the pleasure of putting quite a few rounds through it this past weekend!!

Kevin...

I believe you and totally agree! Not every target gun needs adjustable sights to be accurate. Not all guns with adjustable sights are accurate. But to me all accurate guns are interesting! In time as more forums go up, it will be great to see some targets and get a range report on your XD40. Now I wish I had not thrown out the targets of my last outing when I fired my S&W Model 41. That is one damn accurate handgun.

Guys........ you are killing me with these great guns..... Tye......... I freaking love your Ruger MK1!!! It speaks to me and I want to hold it NOT so gently and make her do bad things........ hahahaaa!!!!! Sorry. I must say it is CLEAN and I love the grips. You sire have some nice guns. I like the Star with the pearl grips, but the Ruger is a MEAN MACHINE!!!!!!!

Yes, KEVIN. Your  ported XD .40 is a bad ass and I loved shooting it. In fact I liked it so much that I want the damned thing! AND YOU KNOW THAT!!! Stop teasing me! Oh yeah! Your HK is sweet too!

John...

We talked about "Gun Porn" you got "Gun Porn".

Thanks for the kind words about my weapons. I have not posted but a few of the ones I own. I am sure in time I will be able to post the greater number of the weapons I own. I enjoy sharing what I have with others.

I truly love that Ruger. It was the first semi-auto I ever bought and hope it will stay with me until I go to my maker. As for the Star, as I have mentioned I have a soft spot for Spanish metal. The Star has never let me down. That Star FR Sport with the right ammo is close to being every bit as accurate as my S&W model 41. But right now nothing I have can beat my Model 41. It truly is a tack driver.

Tye-that model 41 looks awesome!! i bet its a hell of a tack driver

John-teasing?? now i wouldnt do that!!, hell i promise i'll let ya shoot it anytime i bring it to the range, i didnt think i was gonna be able to leave the range with it last weekend after you got to "play" with her!! im thinking of holding on to it for awhile after talking with the wife, she likes to shoot it also!! BUT, if i do decide to get rid of it, you'll be the first to know. Id like to keep it in the "family" that way i could have a chance to buy it back if it ever became available again!!

That it is. I have some target ammunition that was made in Yugoslavia that will make small one hole groups all day long. It's a shame I have so little left but I did get 5000 rounds of it when I did. That just shows you how much I like to shoot the Model 41. I guess it is again time for me to start buying small lots of .22Lr. ammo to see what it likes best. If I am going to shoot ammo that is available I better find out what kind it likes. I also might look into the gadget that is supposed to make regular ammo more accurate. But it means passing every bullet through a die of sorts that makes the bullet conformation true. Its a neat little gadget and from what I have seen it really works. If I locate the website I found it advertised on I will post it.

Take care,
Tye

Edit... I found it. It's called Paco Kelly's Acu'rzr tool.

Tye.... I don't know if you have children or not and I don't if you do have any if they are gun fans. But what i do know is that I am up for adoption and I'm currently available to be added to any and all last will and testaments. That is of course for when you do meet your maker and we will all pray that it is far far far into the future. We just recently got to meet online and I feel that there is far more to be learned from one another and ideas to be exchanged (it seems we are ying and yang) for you to exit too soon. But, really..... I am open to the adoption thingy!!!!

John...

Actually I have two daughters. My oldest is like me and likes to go shooting where as my youngest could do without. Don't have a son so ya just never know what might happen in the future.

We do seem to play well off each other. I think we both have a lot to share and are more then willing to share it. Not to worry as I don't think I will be going to far. You might not hear from me on a daily basis as there are just times when all I can do is lay back and think about how long the day is. Those are the days I would l would truly like to forget. Unfortunately I have far to many of them. When I am not feeling good there is not much else I can do. It all goes together with this damn health problem I have. Just something I have to live with for now.

I'll look into the adoption paperwork but you know how government agencies are. They like making things as hard as they can by telling you it is so easy to do. Damn government double talk.

Take care,
Tye

I have two daughters also. Ages 9 and 3. Both love guns, but the 3 year old is a bit of a gun fanatic. My 9 year old got her first rifle at 8. She also shoots pistols as well. She is a natural good shot and can knock Coke cans out of the bayou with amazing accuracy.

Consider the paperwork in the process. At least I know my guns will go to someone who will truly appreciate them and by no means let them fall into the hands of my "EX". That is a long story unto itself and just know that as a christian man I could only turn the other cheek so many times. After her third affair I had to remove that 165 pounds of dead weight from my life.

Hey I have one of those too..... an EX that is. We didn't have any children and she was a good girl, but we grew apart and wanted different things.... I wanted kids and she didn't. I left law enforcement trying to save something that was just NOT there.
Today.... I have a new wife and two beautiful young daughters........ I am CONTENT and I DON'T want that to change!

I don't know how you let the EX have three strikes..... holy crap! I'm not a perfect man and I have done my share of wrong in my life, but that is beyond me. I don't believe in hurting someone just because of their cheating... life is precious and there are more women out there that would love to settle down and have a decent life..... heck if I could do it..... anyone can! I've always felt that if I caught a woman cheating on me it would be "thanks for the fun we had together....BYE!" It's a get out of JAIL free card and you don't have to be stuck with someone that doesn't truly love you. I don't know what the deal was, but I'm sure it involved kids as to why the three strikes was involved.

Sorry, I didn't mean to be so personal here in the forums but I'm sure many men feel your pain in that regard. My EX had abortion that I asked her not to have.
