                                             WELCOME TO OUR NEWEST CONTEST

In this contest you will have the opportunity to see just how far “On Target Guns” can go in creating that special firearm from one supplied by you. “On Target Guns” wants to show you just how special a firearm can be by allowing our professionals to refinish your weapon possibly into a showplace firearm, a tactical nightmare, or something else in between.

To enter any contest originating at, or in the “On Target Guns” forums you must be of legal age to be in possession of firearms in your state, county or province and you are responsible for adhering to all applicable gun laws in your state, county or province in regards to this contest! To enter the contest, you must be a citizen of the USA and must legally be able to own a firearm.
To enter a post, comment or suggestion during any running contest, you must be a registered member of the “On Target Guns” forums! Registration is easy! So enter now!
There will be no replies posted on any comment or suggestion unless done by the staff of “On Target Guns”.
This contest is open to anyone who wishes to enter a comment or suggestion even though you do not wish to enter a firearm in the contest.
Any contests operated by “On Target Guns” will be used as a benefit to both the firearm owner and “On Target Guns”. It must be understood that weapons that go through the refinishing process, including the Cryogenic process, will be used as advertising media for the shop to use. “On Target Guns” will reserve the right to take before and after pictures of the weapons used in the contests to show the abilities of the processes done and capabilities of our in house professionals.
It will be up to the "1st Place contest winner" to pay “any and all” shipping fees incurred in sending the weapon to “On Target Guns” and for its return shipping (including insurance). The returned weapon must be signed for by the owner of the weapon.

Now the rules:
1: Submit a picture or pictures (Handgun, Rifle or Shotgun) of one firearm and one firearm only and give us a short description of the gun: Is your gun rare? Does it have an interesting (true) story behind it and/or how you got it? Is it your favorite gun? *When uploading photo please make sure it is an accepted file such as a a JPEG file. Also, make sure to choose a file size" small, medium or large. If you leave the "NONE" box checked, file will not upload.
2: From all of the submitted pictures, three weapons will be selected by the “On Target Guns” staff for the next step in the contest process.
3: The three selected firearms will then be re-posted by the “On Target Guns” staff, for all to view and comment on (submit ideas on how it should be finished).
4: “On Target Guns” staff will then request of all those who are participating in the contest, or any individuals who wish to comment, to select one of the three weapons and suggest one idea of what they would like seen done to that selected weapon.
5: Suggestions or comments are and will be limited to one description of changes to one firearm. Suggestions or comments are restricted to one firearm only from the three selected by the “On Target Guns” staff. Anyone posting comments or suggestions to more than one of the three selected firearms shall have their posts removed and that member will be restricted from entering any further posts in this contest. (*A description, comment or suggestion are those things an individual would like seen or done in the refinishing of the weapon)
6: The firearm that receives the greatest number of descriptions will be the winner of the contest.
7: The owner of the winning firearm will be contacted and the suggestions about refinishing will be gone over with that individual. The end result will be a possible combination of suggested refinishing schemes submitted and those that might be suggested by the shop professionals at “On Target Guns”.
8: Any “owner” request above what “On Target Guns” calls refinishing should be gone over with the staff of “On Target Guns”. If any charges are incurred beyond refinishing, those charges will be submitted by the weapon’s owner.
9: One entrant who submitted an idea (vote) on the winning gun will be chosen at random and will receive a gun related (accessory) prize.

I am entering my 92fs Beretta. This was my first gun and favorite so far. I purchased it from one of my Staff Sergeants While I served in the U.S. Marines. SSGT. Hicks has since passed away. He was killed by a drunk driver. I would Like to 'pimp' this gun in honor of all those who have served in the military.

I would like to enter my Sig Sauer P225 9mm in the "Pimp My Gun" contest. This is my first and of course, my favorite gun. I would not say my gun is rare only that they do not make them anymore from what I can tell. My fiance got this gun for me. It was actually a birthday/engagement gift. I guess you can say it was my "engagement ring" of sorts. I got my gun before I got my engagement ring, lol. This was basically how he proposed to me with a gun instead of an engagement ring lol. I thought it was very sweet that my safety was more important than a shiny piece of jewelry. Don't get me wrong I do love jewelry but a gun can be just as shiny as a new diamond lol.

Bushmaster AR-15 (.223)

This was my first rifle I ever bought, and of course it's my baby.  Like all babies they grow up to be some beautiful. Well I want my baby to be even more beautiful than it already is. I frist bought the foregrip, which gave it some balance. I then bought it the Aimpoint Red Dot, which helped out it's vision. To shed some light on it, I attached a tactical flashlight. Well now I want to show it's true colors. I'm entering my Bushmaster AR-15 into the Pimp My Gun Contest to put some real colors on it.

I was looking at pictures, colors and designs that John offers and i say this rifle would look awesome in the Urban Mirageflage pattern. This pattern would definitely show it's true colors. I would change the foregrip that is on the rifle to the hide away bi-pod foregrip. I hope my input helps. GOOD LUCK HOFFGEO!!!!!

I've thought alot about which gun I wanted to enter. And finally decided that it wouldn't even be one of my guns. I'm entering my grandfather's 12 guage. He got it about 50 years ago (the actual age changes every time he tells us). While I dont know the actual age, I'm told he bought it in the early 60's. And while theres not some awesome story behind this gun, this has always been by his bed, been dependable and holds special value to him. So, regardless if this gun wins or not, I'll be getting with you John for a complete restoration this coming year. That way I can give it to him for his birthday next year.

GUN #3 - This Gun Has Been Pulled Out Of The Contest!

In reply to this post by On Target LLC
WE ARE SORRY TO ANNOUNCE THAT GUN #3 HAS BEEN PULLED FROM THE CONTEST! PLEASE DO NOT VOTE FOR THIS GUN ANY LONGER. THE CONTEST ENTRANT CANNOT CONTINUE IN THIS CONTEST!
DUE TO THIS UNEXPECTED TURN OF EVENTS WE MUST DROP THIS ENTRY AT THE ENTRANTS BEHEST. WE WANT TO APOLOGIZE TO ALL OF YOU WHO VOTED FOR GUN #3! THANK YOU ALL FOR PARTICIPATING!

We chose Gun #3 because of the reason why the contestant chose to submit it. Personally, we felt it was a very unselfish act. Rather than submit his own gun, this contestant chose to enter his grandfather's gun instead. That got his grandad's gun noticed. It's also a .12 guage shotgun.... who doesn't like a twelve guage??? Exactly!!! We had to have a shotgun represented and this fit perfectly.
If you want to see this shotgun get all the glory it deserves, type out a reply to this post telling us what you would like to see done to it and that is all you have to do to VOTE for it!

This is what the contestant wrote us about the gun he entered uinto the contest:
"I've thought alot about which gun I wanted to enter. And finally decided that it wouldn't even be one of my guns. I'm entering my grandfather's 12 guage. He got it about 50 years ago (the actual age changes every time he tells us). While I dont know the actual age, I'm told he bought it in the early 60's. GUN #2

In reply to this post by On Target LLC
This is Gun #2 - It's an all black AR-15 that is screaming for a new look. I'm a huge fan of the AR-15 and this BushMaster is a prime choice for the PIMP MY GUN contest! If you want to see it take the top prize, reply to this post and enter only one idea of what you would like to see us do to this gun. Each idea posted counts as a vote and if this rifle gets the most votes, it'll be the contest winner.
I know what it's like to have a special attachment to your first AR-15 just like this contestant has with his gun. I could never part with my Colt AR-15.... it was my first and there can never be another first.

Here's what the contestant had to say about his gun:
"This was my first rifle I ever bought, and of course it's my baby. GUN #1

In reply to this post by On Target LLC
Gun #1 - This Beretta made the "TOP 3" because of its military heritage! The Beretta's have served our military for 25 years and many citizens own them as well. I carried one when I was a police officer and I loved it. I still do have a soft spot in my heart for those Italian beauties.
This gun's owner was a military man and he enetered it in honor of all those who sefve and have served. If you like this gun enough to want to vote for it, please reply to this post with your idea of what you would like to see done to it. The gun with the most votes wins the contest. Only one vote for one gun!

Here's what the contestant had to say about his gun:
"I am entering my 92fs Beretta. This was my first gun and favorite so far. I purchased it from one of my Staff Sergeants While I served in the U.S. Marines. SSGT. Hicks has since passed away. I would break it up by coating different parts of the gun using some type of gray. I would go with snow gray or a mortar color. Good luck

I'd remove the permanent carryhandle and make it a flattop for easier attachments, my AR has a permanent carry handle and if it wasn't a present I would have definitely gotten a flattop.
